High speed cutting machining is one of the major areas of interest today. Yet, what the user really is interested is not speed as such, but the cost-performance ratio of the manufacturing installation. Important factors are, among others, user-friendliness and flexibility, which are necessary for quick response to changing market demands. Beside all dynamic advantages, it is also important to know the limits of these systems, as well as optimal dynamic parameters.
