Sažetak
The manufacturing of metal composite materials with high rate energy concentration method bases on ultra high speed collision of metal plates to be bonded. Proper control of collision parameters ensures successful process development and hence good bond quality. Direct collision pressure measurements is very difficult because of high pressure levels (which could reach several hundred kbars) and its short duration (only 0, 001 second or less). By means of experimental work and mathematical modelling, good bond quality is achievable. It is controlled by non-destructive and mechanical testing methods, and by micro and macrostructure investigations.
