Sažetak
The incorporation of various supplementary cementing materials (SCMs) either as ingredients in blended cements or as separatly batched constituents in concrete has been investigated in different countries by a significant number of researchs, giving encouraging results regarding the mechanical and durability properties of concrete. The practical approach to the effect of supplementary cementing materials, such as silica fume or fly ash from the Croatian Plants, on the mechanical strengths of Portland cement mortars, as well as on the resistance against the sodium sulphate and magnesium sulphate solution and, on the microbiologically influenced corrosion of the mortar wastewater collection systems were presented and discussed.
