Sažetak
The paper deals with the effects of nonlinearities in CATV amplifiers. A computer program based on a simplified description of nonlinearities (Taylor-series approximation) was developed by the Department of Microwave Telecommunications at TUB. A general formula is given for calculating the frequency and the amplitude of the components of the output spectrum. The output spectrum was computed and displayed using the computer program. The intermodulation products and the harmonics were investigated as function of input signal levels, number of input signals and different kinds of amplifier characteristics.
