Sažetak
With this work we tried to make improvements of the physics teacher education by holding a serial of workshops for elementary school pupils (7-13 years). Workshops served as a suitable scene for meeting of three partner sides in teaching process: pupils, future physics teachers and university teachers. The workshops were organized through a serial of experiments on a subject of atmospheric pressure, using a constructivist approach. Positive experiences were on all sides. Designing workshops helped us, as university teachers, to search for the ways of developing creative and analytic thinking by construction of basic physical models through active learning at the very early stage, to which pupils responded extremely well, as well as to investigate new methods in education of future physics teachers. For future teachers, it was a valuable and motivating direct experience with children, which helped them to gain a new insight into shaping the concepts to understand natural phenomena through constructivist approach.
