Sažetak
The present paper describes a newly discovered freshwater gobid in Croatia, the close relative of Orsinigobius punctatisimus (Canestrini) ; Gandollfi et al., 1985, being known as endemic to north-eastern Italy. The two species are similar in appearance, the males have several vertical bars, the absence of sensory canals on the head, the presence of suborbital series a and almost complete lack of scales, restricted to the axillary patch.. Morphometric measurements and body proportions were taken on 30 fish, revealing some different meristic and numerical characteristics than O. punctatissimus (especially , vertebral count (32-33), and number of rays in D1(VI), D2(8-9) and C(13).
