Sažetak
Motions of the ocean and atmosphere are characterized by large Reynolds and small Froud numbers. In order to describe these motions by expansion in perturbation series the equations of ideal fluid in a dimensionless form depending on the Froud number were considered suitable. The expansion was discussed on the basis of Weierstrass' theorem, on the degree to which polynomials can approximate a function.
