Sažetak
The same mold sand mixture is used several times in the same production cycle. Quality of the mold mixture deteriorates with increased number of cycles, so that finally it becomes unusable. With addition of the new binder there is constant increase in thickness of the coating around the sand grain, which results in creation of lumps. Regeneration of sand mixture aims at removal of the coating, because underneath the coating there is a new silica sand grain. Another goal is to get rid of dust from the mold sand. Regeneration process may save up to 70% of new silica sand.
