Sažetak
A procedure for removal of the harmful ingredients from wastewater depends on the number of parameters. Some methods are expensive, some demand more attention during maintenance, some are more sensitive to the changes in the work regime, but all of them must be transparent to the public. A technology of the activated sludge is a classic, but with various modifications it can almost always fulfil the needs of wastewater purification. Each type of wastewaters has its own characteristics and need to be approached with adequate attention: from the analysis to the testing in order to choose the procedure of purification. Unlike this, disturbances that appear in the eco-systems because of the emissions of unpurified wastewaters or purification systems malfunctions are spotted too late, and the consequences are immeasurable. Because of that, a need has arisen to establish small, flexible companies that will consider the problems in large perspective and propose the adequate solutions to it. One of such companies, currently being established, is LATOV-Laboratory for Analysis and Testing of Wastewaters. LATOV is imagined as a laboratory that will provide information and propose solutions for processing of the wastewaters, divided in three large groups: households, industry and farms. In the immediate cooperation with the designers, they will be involved in both: the designing and the installation of the completed facility. In time, LATOV will grow to become a large organization which will be capable of providing complete solutions for wastewater purification facilities, on a turn-key basis.
