Sažetak
The paper discusses application of generated synthetic hydrological time series in karst water resources management. Hydrological, hydrogeological and qualitative characteristics of karst waters are characterized by significant spatial and time heterogeneity and variability. As the prerequisite for high-quality analyzes these characteristics and reliable water management adequate data has to be provided. However, available time series of monitoring data are usually not long enough. Consequently, for drawing conclusions and making management decisions it could be very useful to use generated synthetic time series. These series provide possibility of making additional interpretation of available information concerning characteristics of water phenomenon. This approach is analyzed in the paper on the examples of generated synthetic time series of discharge and turbidity of water. Possible approaches of generation procedures are presented, as well as interpretations of obtained results for making management decisions.
