Sažetak
Enantioseparation by liquid chromatography have considerably advanced during the past decade not only for determining optical purity but also for obtaining optically pure isomers. The understanding of chiral recognition mechanism at molecular level is of great importance in the field of chiral chromatography. Among the various chiral stationary phases (CSPs), the polysaccharide based CSPs are considered as the most efficient due to their wide range of applications in the field of chiral chromatography [1]. Although the numerous attempts have been made to predict the chiral recognition mechanism of these stationary phases at molecular level, the exact mechanism is still not known [2]. The work presented here deals with a group of chiral 1, 4-dihidropyridines (1, 4-DHPs), which are very important class of compounds because of their pharmacological activity as a calcium antagonists or agonists [3].
