Sažetak
In the paper three topics in maintenance are selected that might have a major impact on further developments in this field. Today, new technologies change the maintenance objects, the approach to maintenance and the respective tools. New computing devices and new computing philosophy offer new features in organisation and performing of maintenance. In such environment it is essential to constantly enhance and renew the knowledge about maintenance and maintenance related topics, which can be achieved through lifelong learning and Knowledge Transfer Partnership. Increased environmental concern and elevated responsibility towards the society enable progress in maintenance, which is a crucial resource in striving to improve the human wellbeing and preserve the environment.
