Sažetak
The paper presents a systematic review of the development of a new computer-aided method for 3D garment cut construction on a virtual body. The operative procedures of preparing the virtual 3D body model are presented, including taking bodily measures necessary to develop a garment cut and to analyse the posture and the shape of the body model. The construction of the 3D cut itself is based on determining spatial positions of the characteristic points that determine the 3D cut contours, as well as on forming the contours and auxiliary curves necessary to shape the surface of the garment 3D cut. The surface obtained is controlled through the procedures developed, while the surfaces of the front and back part of the garment are separated and individual 3D cutting patterns developed.
