Sažetak
Thermal treatment of Li^+, K^+, Cs^+ and NH4^+-exchanged zeolite 4A, NH4^+-exchanged zeolite 13X and their X-ray amorphous derivatives obtained by ball milling results in the formation of various interesting materials such as mullite, pollucite, nepheline, kalsilite, kaliophilite, alpha, beta, gama-eucryptite etc. The pathway of transformation process, type(s) and properties of the resulting compounds depend on the type and the chemical composition (SiO_2/Al_2O_3 ratio, type of the exchanged cation) of the used zeolite and its pretreatment (e.g. ball-milling) before the heating. Differencial-scanning calorimetry (DSC), differential thermal gravimetry (DTG), X-ray powder diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the initial materials and the obtained products.
