Sažetak
An overview of background subtraction methods for motion segmentation is given in the paper. These methods segment moving regions by thresholding the difference between background estimate and current frame. Methods differ in types of used background models and in algorithms that update these models. The taxonomy of the methods is proposed. A comparison of performance of various background subtraction methods on hand-segmented test image sequences is given.
