Sažetak
The organ shortage is a major problem in transplantation today. It is very well known that that a considerable number of organs are not used because of family refusal. One way to solve this problem is to educate the community about organ donation. The most appropriate period of accept the fact of organ donation based on solidarity between human beings is a time of schooling. We examined the attitude of 15-years-old school children toward organ donation. The results showed that most of children considered family consent as obligatory regardrless of their previous knowledge about kidney transplantation. This convinced us that the law based on family consent can solved the problem of organ shortage.
