Sažetak
EUS has yielded impressive results i dignosis of variety of diseases involving the GI tract including malignant tumors(mucosal and intramural in origin)and non-malignant mucosal lesions as chronic gastritis, Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis and colonic polyposis. Endosonography is cricial in the staging in GI carcinomas and spread to regional lymph nodes. The pancreas and biliary sytem are not analysed only for tumors but also for pancreatitis, bile duct stones and other benign diagnosis. We analysed first hundred pts examined in our centre with new radial electronic EUS probe EG-3630 URconnected to Hitachi EUB-6500.Based on our first six month experience we have found the EUS with electronioc radial probe acceptable diagnostic toolfor GI malignancies, biliary stones, pancreatitis and some other less frequent diagnosis.
