Sažetak
In air traffic, Croatia is very poorly connected with Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark, i.e. the Scandinavian countries, whose demographic potential amounts to about 24 million inhabitants. In scheduled air traffic Croatia is not directly connected with these countries, and in non-scheduled traffic this number is very small and referees to direct flights towards coastal airports. Although there is some passenger traffic demand on the relation between the Scandinavian countries and Croatia, it is small and mostly realized by road vehicles referring mainly to tourist traveling. In the total numbers of foreign passengers in Croatia, the passengers from these countries participate with less than 1%, and the same share is realized by Croatia in the total number of trips made by the passengers from these countries towards the Mediterranean. It is therefore estimated that there is significant potential to increase the passenger traffic on this relation, especially in air transport in which Croatia has big reserves in ground capacities, as well as in air routes on the respective relation
