Sažetak
For the last two years the development of a phytosociological database of the grassland vegetation of Croatia has been in progress. It is founded on TURBOVEG software. So far it covers only the vegetation of the Molinio-Arrhenatheretea class and at the moment numbers 1030 relevés. The relevés were made in accrodance with the Braun-Blanquet methodology. Most of the relevés have been geocoded, and about one third of them are linked to habitat parameter measurements (pH, percentage of limestone, amount of humus and so on). Although it is not a great amount of data at issue, it is nevertheless the first such database in Croatia, and in the coming two years it is planned to collect phytocenological relevés of all types of grassland vegetation of Croatia. In a project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Physical Planning and Construction, it is anticipated that as early as 2004 the existing data will be linked with the recently made habitat map of the Republic of Croatia.
