Sažetak
Croatian music in the 17th and early 18th cent. was characterized by the variety of its Mediterranean and central European characteristics. In difficult historical circumstances, the efforts of the religious orders to keep music alive often crossed the narrow limits of liturgical music, becoming an important element of cultural life. By contrast, Baroque music for the middle class and for noble families shows dynamic features in its variety and scoppe.
