Sažetak
Input parameters such as electromechanical coupling factor for ultrasound transducer models based on equivalent circuits or 2D and 3D finite elements can be estimated using impedance data obtained by measurement of piezoceramic material sample as free resonator. In this work ANSI/IEEE Standard 176-1987 and Sheritt methods have been used for estimating piezoelectric parameters of PZT-5A ceramic samples, which have been made as thin discs and will be used as active elements in ultrasound transmitters. ANSI/IEEE Standard is based on equations derived for materials with low losses so material parameters are given as real numbers. Sheritt method considers material parameters as complex values and losses are given by corresponding imaginary parts. Calculated parameters are then included in theoretical free resonance model for estimating impedance near resonance frequency and compared with measured impedance data.
