Sažetak
This paper shows the results of numerical simulation of behavior of weld pocket dies during extrusion of rectangular solid sections having various a/b ratio. The shape of the weld pocket was taken as an influence variable. Based on this simulation the stresses as well as strain distribution within the die was obtained. This analysis shows the critical area of the die regarding the simulated parameters. Results obtained by such simulations could be useful for the die designer.
