Sažetak
The paper presents aspects of national and regional identities in Southeastern Europe, and analyzes their impacts on democratization processes and integration of the Southeastern European countries into the EU.The redefined cultural identities are the strong point of modernization and development in the region. They provide the basis for the new type of intercultural relations, which supports democratic developments and Europeanization of all societies in the Southeastern European region.
