Sažetak
Phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) supplies were tested (AL-method) on hydromorphic soils of the Sava valley. We analyzed 480 soil profiles covering an area of 31227 ha. P availability in the surface layer (0-30 cm) in about 30% of the tested soil area was very low (up to 5 mg P2O5 /100 g), next 32% was within the range of low P availability (from 5.1 to 10 mg/100 g), while only 17% had good or very good P availability (above 20 mg/100 g). One third of the tested area was poorly and moderately supplied with K (less than 10 mg K2O/100g). Ameliorative fertilization with superphosphate (up to 2540 kg P2O5/ha) and KCl (up to 2540 kg K2O/ha) was applied in the spring of 1990 for the duplicated experiment for maize and soybean. Due to P and K fertilization, grain yields increased up to 87% and 42% (maize), as well as 40% and 34% (soybean), respectively.
