Sažetak
During a regular bird monitoring on 4 November 2004. at Podunavlje fishponds, Kopacki Rit Nature Park, the first author observed three swans landing in the midst of a flock of 800 geese.Later on, the Bewick's Swan, Cygnus columbianus was observed also by second author. Breeding in Russian tundra and wintering mainly in nortwestern Europe, Bewick's Swan is a very rare species in Croatia. The authors concluded that our observation is the third possible occurrence and second valid record of Bewick`s Swan in Croatia. Also it is the first record for Kopacki rit Nature Park, whose total number of bird species has now reached 292.
