Sažetak
In this study we examined the concentraions of growth hormone (HGH) and GHBP in sera of 7 acromegalic patients before, during and after transnasal hypophysoectomy. hGH concentrations were measured by radioimmunoassay while GHBP binding parameters were obtained by gel-filtration of sera samples which were preincubated with 125I-hGH. hGH and GHBP values of samples which were evaluated before the operation, droped significantly almost immediately after the removal of adenoma. The low GHBP values in serum after the operation were confirmed by isolation of GHBP and subsequent electrophoretic analysis.
