Sažetak
The paper discusses structural and functional description of advanced driver information and guidance system with anticipatory quality. The dynamic route guidance information has to be realised as an integral part of the broader traffic management system, working jointly with the real-time driver information system. The focus of our research based on real-time traffic data, information and traffic knowledge processing related with anticipatory guidance system. User response to route-guidance instructions is formally described by route-switching model. Prediction based on the data and knowledge mining is suggested as an important component of system. The knowledge mining (or knowledge discovery in databases) gives useful knowledge from the low-level data in the context of large data sets.
