Sažetak
The purpose of this study was to analyse palmar dermatoglyphic in 47, XXY subjects (N=28) and to compare it with data obtained for 46, XY individuals (N=200). Significant reduction in epidermal ridge counts (rc) and size of atd angle in 47, XXY were found. Particular reduction was observed for a-b rc (M=77.86; controls: M= 85.43; p<0.01), c-d rc (M= 68.29; controls: M= 74.69; p<0.02), and total palmar ridge count - TPRC (M= 199.82; controls: M=217.94; p<0.01). Size of atd angular for both palms together (ATDT) was sygnificantly decreased in 47, XXY subjects (M= 85.54; controls: M= 95.28; p<0.01). Frequency of fingertip whorls ulnar and radial loops was similar in both groups. Fingertip archer were almost twice more frequent in 47, XXY subjects (8.15%) than in controls (4.37%); (p<0.05). Loops in third interdigital area were more frequent in 47, XXY subjects. The supernumerary X chromomosome in 47, XXY subjects has important influence on the formation of dermatoglyphic traits. dermatoglyphic can be used as a reliable screening tool for Klinefelter syndrome before and after puberty.
