Sažetak
The sterol composition of Dysidea fragilis from the Black Sea is reported. Thre groups of sterols D 5, D 0 and D 5, 7 were found.The isolated 5, 8-epidioxy sterols appeared to be predominantly, if not exclusively artifacts. The aoto-oxidation of the native D 5, 7-sterols to 5, 8-epidioxy sterols has been investigated. A transformation of dietary D 5-sterols to D 5, 7-sterols has been demonstrated in Dysidea fragilis.
