Sažetak
During the aabove mentioned period, 1336 carotid endaarterectomies were peerformed in 1239 patients. Standard techniques were used in 1219 and eversion endarterectomy in 117 patients. The results obtained aare comparable to those reported by the centres of exellance worldwide , indicating that carotid endarterectomy could be used to prevent ischemic stroke.
