Sažetak
In standard, commonly used, calculation methods for rigid pavement structures, the interaction between plate and subgrade are presumed to be uniform. During pavement construction and its use different reasons can cause subgrade damage and loss of support between the plate and base (subgrade). Subgrade damage can be caused because of the, well known, effect of pumping of the subgrade material in the presents of water and because of the vacuum effect, pushing out of the granular fines with air during process of loading and unloading. Subgrade distresses result in cracking and other forms of distresses, mostly, on the edge and on the corner of the slab. In this paper loss of support has been analyzed for the most common type of nonreinforced concrete pavement, doweled portland cement concrete pavement. The doweled concrete pavement plates have been analyzed for the distress/load at the edge and at the corner of the pavement slab. The size and the shape of the areas on which the loss of support occurs have been varying for the case of distress/load at the edge and at the corner of the pavement slab. The results for different distress areas and different place of load/distress-weakening are compared in the paper. The intention of this paper is to establish the relations between stresses and displacements in the case of uniform and no uniform pavement subbase.
