Sažetak
The authors give a review of diagnostic and therapeutic management in 97 patients with preclinical malignant changes of cervix uteri, of whom 37 revealed epithalial dysplasia, 48 carcinoma in situ, and 12 microcarcinoma. Using cytology and colposcopy as complementary diagnostic methods and applying also punch biopsy in selected cases, a conical amputation of the cervix was performed in 53 patients, an abdominal extirpation in 20 patients, and a vaginal extirpation of the uterus in 24 patients. Only in two patients with a pathologic substrate within the conus was a malignant process in the remaining part of the cervix observed in subsequent extirpations of the uterus. The relationship between preclinical and clinical malignant changes of cervix uteri is still in favour of the latter, that is 97 against 128. Although satisfied with the results of their therapeutic management of preclinical malignant changes of cervix uteri, the authors will continue making further efforts in detecting early forms of malignant changes of cervix uteri in order to reduce the unfavourable ratio as much as possible.
