Sažetak
Along with a faster and greater development of traffic in the modern world, the need to eliminate and insulate the traffic-generated noise which increasingly pollutes the lives in cities, industrial centres and working environments, is also increasing. Thus, for example, with the increase in air traffic density, the aircraft are becoming greater and greater noise polluters affecting also the quality of living and the health of the population, especially in the vicinity of the airports. On the other hand, with the occurrence and diagnosing of professional health problems caused by noise at the working place, the traffic noise is also becoming more and more the problem of the industrial medicine. Efficient methods of protection assume detailed knowledge about the sources of noise, including adequate acoustic measurements. This work presents some results of measuring the external noise generated by a training turbo-prop aircraft Pilatus PC-9M. Due to its intensive use during the pilot training process, this aircraft has been recognized as one of the major noise polluters in the wider surroundings of the air base Zemunik.
