Sažetak
An efficient meshless computational strategy based on the local Petrov-Galerkin approach for analysis of plate and shell structures is presented. On applying a 3D solid concept, allowing the use of a complete 3D constitutive model, the local symmetric weak form of the equilibrium over a local sub-domain is derived. The linear test function in the thickness direction is assumed. Discretization is performed by means the moving least squares approximation in the in-plane directions, and both linear and quadratic interpolations are used in the thickness direction. The exact shell geometry description may be performed. The shear locking phenomena in the case of thin structures and the sensitivity to rigid body motion are minimized by applying the interpolation functions of sufficiently high order.
