Sažetak
Intact cholinergic system is a prerequisite to unimpaired performance in learning and memory tasks. Bilateral electrolytic lesions of the nucleus basalis (NB) equivalent reduce the passive avoidance in the rat. The effect of intraperitoneally injected lecithin (3.2 x 10-4 mol.kg-1), arecoline (6.4 x 10-6 mol.kg-1), or piracetam (1.4 x 10-2 mol.kg-1) alone or in combination with before mentioned cholinomimetics on the passive avoidance in NB lesioned rats was examined. It was found that lecithin and arecoline alone or in combination with piracetam improved the avoidance acquisition in NB lesioned rats, while piracetam was uneffective.
