The chapter presents an overview of the empirical findings and theoretical cinsiderations that are relevant to the relationship of the Belief in a Just World with the experience of unemployment. The study that is presented in the second part of the chapter was based on the observation that young people who have experienced long-term unemployment while looking for their first job have been almost completely ignored in previous research in this domain.
