Sažetak
The problem of rotor vibration of a vertical hydro-generator is considered. The model has upper bearing stiffness which is significantly less than stiffness of the lower bearing and huge flywheel placed on the top of the rotor. Therefore the vibrations depend primarily on the giroscopic effect. The validity of this model is shown on an example solving real asynchronous hydro-generator vibrations.
