Sažetak
A systematic procedure of designing mechanisms is demonstrated and applied to the synthesis of a single-blade automotive windshield wiper. The mathematical graph theory is used for abstract representataion and automatic generation of kinematic structures. basics of graph theory and it's correspondence to kinematic structure are outlined. A preliminary functional evaluation is followed by mathematical formulation of design criteria and constraints ; and dimensional optimization using nonlinear programming techniques.
