Sažetak
Metal sandvich plates with corrugated core and glued bonds are in many cases a very good option for diverse applications in industry and construction. These plates posses high stiffness-per-mass ratios, fair environmental properties and resistance, relatively low price per unit area and other important properties. The idea of this paper is to design optimized metal sandwich plates for specified particular applications. It is assumed that the corrugated core will be produced by shaped rolls from thin plane plates and that the custom-made rolls will be extruded. Beyond the optimization model itself and the optimization & simulation package, programs for the generation of the shaped rolls based on the obtained optimum geometry of the corrugated core are developed.
