Sažetak
Based on optical absorption and photoluminescence studies of CdS_1-xSe_x nanocrystals embedded in borosilicate glass matrix under X-ray and electron irradiation a conclusion is made on the radiation-induced ionization of the nanocrystals. Alternative mechanisms which could explain the observed smearing and vanishing of confinement-related maxima in the absorption spectra and the absorption edge blue shift, are shown to be insignificant.
