Sažetak
The serological response to Leishmania infantum in a pateint with visceral leishmaniasis mimicking a collagen disease, who was treated with prednisone was described. Four consecutive patient's sera were tested by indirect immunofluorescence and Western blot for antileishmanial antibodies. The impact of corticosteroid treatment as a factor of immunodepression on serological response as well as on Western blot pattern was discussed.
