Sažetak
Juraj Kallay (1901-1989) was the first Croatian scientist after Gorjanović (1856-1936) who carried out systematic and detailed study of the Krapina (dental) sample, giving his contribution to paleo-antropology with regard to morpho-anatomical, morpho-genetic and paleo-pathological features of teeth and jaws. He also pointed to the bone fractures and osteo-arthritic changes related to post-cranial skeletal parts, which had previously been described by Dragutin Gorjanović-Kramberger. However, Kallay's special attention was paid to paleo-pathology of teeth and jaws. After all, most of paleo-pathological changes which have generally been noticed in the Krapina sample refer to visceral cranial parts. In this study, the already determined paleo-pathological changes were classified in three categories: Indicators of general cumulative stress, 2. Indicators of general episodic stress and 3. Indicators of stress developed as a consequence of disease.
