Sažetak
A male teenager presented to the Department of Dermatology and Venerology with a severe form of acne fulminans. Laboratory findings showed leukocytosis, elevated ESR and C reactive protein, with normal level of serum lipids. As his clinical status demanded systemic corticosteroids, prednisolone 32 mg/day was added to his dose of isotretinoin. Three weeks from the introduction of this therapeutic regimen, his clinical and dermatological status improved but he started to hobble very heavily and felt persistent pain in both hip joints. The diagnosis of sacroiliitis was made on the basis of clinical manifestations and in consultation with a rheumatologist.
