Sažetak
Two methods for destruction of biological material for selenium (Se) analysis were compared: wet digestion by conductive heating in programmed digestion block and digestion in microwave oven. Sample preparation for both methods were performed in closed system using nitric acid. Electrothermal atomic apsorption spectrometry was applied for Se analysis. Results showed that methods are convenient for complete mineralisation and accurate for determination of Se in variety of food items. However, microwave digestion has advantage in speed and simplicity over conventional heating.
