Sažetak
Cellulose diacetate (CDA) is a widely adopted material for the preparation of various types of films, coatings and membranes for different purposes. In most cases, CDA-products are prepared from the solution, and the best properties are generally obtained when mixed solvents are used. The thermodynamic behavior of diluted solutions of CDA in mixed solvents was not thoroughly investigated so far (Tanner1974, Shakhparonov1967). In this paper the diluted solution properties of CDA in formic acid (FA), acetone(A), N,N-dimethyl formamide (DMF) and in binary mixtures of acetone with FA, DMF, N-methyl formamide (NMF) and formamide (F), respectively, are investigated by the light scattering measurements. The results are interpreted in terms of the thermodynamic quality of the solvents. Moreover, the preferential adsorption phenomenon is found to determine the properties of CDA in mixed solvents.
