Sažetak
On the basis of 22 testicular biopsies made in different groups of male hypogonadism, we picked out a group of 6 persons that histological picture in correlation with clinical features, excretion of total gonadotropins, urinary steroid values and seminal fluid, fits in criteria of hypothesis about idiopathic hypospermatogenesis given by Johnson. In the other specific endocrinologic examination such as: buccal smear, characteristic "drumstick" in neutrophile leukocyte, karyogram, stimulation by chorionic gonadotropine together with Dexamethasone suppression and Metopyrone and ACTH tests, ruled out the secondary testicular degeneration as well as genetic diseases. Patients histories did not give any pertinet data about the etiology of the disease, puberty was normal and patients were viril normal. Seminal fluid showed a reduced number of spermatozoa with diminished motility and pleomorphism. Urinary gonadotropine values in all cases were augmented and in two cases were normal. The testicular biopsy gave the characteristical picture: 1. Inhomogenity of the testis, 2. Dysorganisation of spermatogenesis, 3. Different grades of the tubular wall degeneration: from completely normal to the thick and hyalinized tubuli, 4. Hyperplasia of the Leydig´s cells. The prospective possibility of succesfull treatment by human chorionic gonadotropine (good response of spermatogenesis) had provoked our interest in researching non-specific male infertility.
