Sažetak
Placental X-cells are identical with the cells of the extravillous trophoblast, which are mainly situated in the basal plate. Preformation dynamic of spiral arteries into uteroplacental blood vessels is determined by two waves of endovascular X-cells migration, at the beginning of pregnancy and about 20th week. In EPH gestosis the second wave of migrating endovascular trophoblast is in some way inhibited, so that the myometral part of spiral arteries remains throughout the rest of pregnancy narrowed. We have histochemically investigated activities of leucin aminopeptidase (LAP) and adenosin triphosphatase (ATP) in freshly removed placentae from gestotic pregnancies. It is well known that LAP is of placental origin. The enzyme has been shown to be identical with oxytocinase and/or angiotensinase according to its physical and chemical properties. The reaction pattern was cytoplasmic one mainly in form of fine droplets. The activity of ATP-ase was localised in the plasma membranes however it varies significantly from cell to cell. X-cells showed intensive activity of enzymes which are apparently included in renin-angiotensine system
