Sažetak
Fibre properties primarily depend on their chemical and molecular structure. The yarn properties are, among other things, determined of fibre quality parameters. On the basis of the above mentioned, and field of yarn use, we determine the spinning process and system. In order to obtain the optimum yarn quality for the certain purpose, for the spinner the most important thing is the knowledge of the main fibre parameters such as, length, fineness, strength, maturity (for cotton), as well as their processing behaviour in the spinning mill. The yarn properties depend less on other fibre parameters such as, abrasion resistance, hygroscopic behaviour, fibre surface etc.
