Sažetak
Editors are considered to be the gate-keepers of science, who ensure that only the best science is published in their journals. However, due to the very nature of the research process, editors and their journals seem to be also entrusted with guarding against fraudulent science. Most cases of major scientific misconduct have been discovered only after the publication of a paper(s) in a scientific journal. This puts editors at the frontline of ensuring the integrity of scientific research.
