Sažetak
Theory of literature has often been influencing the theory of film (and vice versa), but applications of metodologies developed for the study of literature have rarely been guided by deep insight in the nature of the audio-visual medium of cinema. Filmological cognitivist school has been only partly founded on the basis of psychological cognitivism and, in addition to certain aspects of narratology, can be used as the basis for sophisticated theory of cinema and for analyses of particular films. Joining the cognitivistis and analytical philosophers (Bordwell, Carroll, Plantinga) in opposing the symptomatic "grand theories", particularly dominant in the seventies and the eighties, this thesis advocates interdisciplinary theory that must take into account developments in film theory independent from literary and other external influences and theoretical fashions.
